Fire & Rain: This installation was created on site at the Mclaren Art Centre which then occupied an historic house north of Toronto, Canada. The drawing(s) respond to two architectural features, the fireplace and facing bay window and the two opposing elements of fire and water. They suggest the dualistic nature of these two elements. Both can be welcoming either for warmth or in times of drought, yet quickly become threatening when spreading overbounds beyond the containment of the hearth and during flood conditions.
